"Dear Molly... Last night, when I was cleaning the house, I thought to myself, 'A week ago, I was in the hot tub, gazing up at the stars.' I keep thinking back--to your strawberries and chocolates, the films you chose for me, the elegant simplicity of your guest house..and of course, the irresistible Elphine. It seems to me that I made a mistake in coming home!

I'm so glad you're enjoying A DROWNED MAIDEN'S HAIR, and that you are spoiling Elphine with extra love. I think dogs know, sometimes, when someone needs a little dog-love, and they come right up and oblige you. It certainly was heaven having her on my bed when I wrote! I look back at my photographs--the peacock, the chickens, the wise-eyed goats, the great stretch of green fields with the ponies up to their bellies in grass...and the lupines and irises and peonies... No, I definitely made a mistake coming home.

Thank you again for spoiling me and making my 55th birthday so special. I've been telling everyone how kind you were--and what masterpieces I will wear on my feet before too long!

Many thanks (and give the dogs each a kiss)"
Laura

"Not long after I arrived at Wild Orchard Guest Farm, I realized to my delight that it was the perfect setting in which to write. When I sat at my window overlooking the woods and fields, typing away on my novel, I could hear the nickers of the miniature horses, the bleating of the goats, and the calls of the peacocks, which often rested on the roof just outside the window. My room was comfortable and homey, the farmhouse beautifully decorated and full of art. All this, combined with Molly's warmth and generosity, made my creative time there tremendously productive. I highly recommend Wild Orchard Guest Farm to writers who want an inspiring setting and a nurturing space in which to focus on their work."

"Wild Orchard is a true find. While looking for a place to go on retreat with 3 college friends, I searched and searched for just the right place and found it - and then some - at Wild Orchard. Even though we were there only 24 hours, it felt much longer. We loved the history, of the house, the care in the décor, the comfort of the beds, the gorgeous gardens, the sweet labyrinth, the delightful peacocks, the farm fresh foods, the quiet and Molly's attention to detail. We all felt nurtured by the place and by Molly. It was a much-appreciated respite from our sometimes too busy lives, and we are already plotting our return. Cheers!"

"We all had a great time at your special place and we hope to return for another retreat. Sharing not only your guest house but yourself made our time memorable and restorative."

"We had a wonderful vacation and are so glad we discovered Wild Orchard Guest Farm so close to our granddaughter's house. It was unbelievable. It is hard to find smoke-free accommodations and you were just where we wanted to be to attend our great-granddaughter's first birthday party. Thanks for opening up your home to us.. we truly appreciated every minute of it. Roger enjoyed himself very much... just like the farm he grew up on. Brought back many memories. We will be back when we come your way again. It was nice and relaxing there... the peacock was something else. You are a fine hostess and tended to all our needs. Your breakfasts kept us going. You are in such a remote location and there is not much around to do so it is a great B&B for those who want to let go and just relax. Lazy Lion Cafe in town and Johnsons in Northwood were great eating places. Your mom and you make quite a team. Hope we did not disrupt her puzzle plans too much. Has she completed it yet? Thanks again for a great time."

"Hello! My husband and I really enjoyed the Wild Orchard Guest Farm and surrounding farm and your gallery and shoe shop! So much so we plan to come back. My daughter and granddaughter enjoyed the mini horses, peacocks and miniature goats! It was peaceful and endearing, Molly, you and your husband are consummate hosts and were willing to do anything to make ones stay comfortable and homey. I feel you are part of our extended family now! I am jealous and want a farmhouse on a hundred acres, a place built before our Nation was formed, a place with great books and art and antiques! It was wonderful to see three master shoemakers at work! Thanks! Molly."

"Molly, Anne and I wanted to let you know what a great time we had. The accommodations exceeded our expectations and our only regret is that we were not able to stay longer. Hopefully, we can return in the near future and enjoy more of your hospitality."
